Biography

Henri Lohrer grew up in Arosa in the Grison mountains, but moved to Zurich at age 16 to serve a commercial apprenticeship. He played for Zürcher SC from 1934-53, leading them to two Swiss titles in 1936 and 1949. As an international, Lohrer was capped 74 times, competing at the 1948 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal, and helping Switzerland win the 1939 European Championship.
