Biography

Mickey Luce went to school at Saranac Lake High School, where he played football and was All-Northern New York selection at halfback, and later the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, graduating in 1965. He competed at the 1965 and 1967 World Championships and was an alternate to the 1966 World team. Luce rode on the winning sled at the 1967 International Diamond Trophy race. He later became a social studies teacher in secondary school in upstate New York and coached several sports. In 1978 he left social studies teaching and established the Lake George Youth Theatre program, which he directs.
