Von Chmielowski also worked as a stage and costume designer as well as a restorer. He designed the Austrian stamps series Landscapes of 1945/47, and the special edition of the series Never Forget and the 1948 London Olympic Games stamp for Austria (his entry for the Art Competitions). The latter appeared on 16 January 1948 as a charity stamp supporting Austrian participants in the Olympic Games. To the nominal value of 1 Schilling an extra amount of 50 Groschen was added, which went to the Austrian Olympic Committee.
