Otto Schnitzer was a German sculptor living in Berlin. His main and best-known work was the restoration of the Quadriga on top of the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin in 1956. In 1942 a complete plaster cast was taken of the Quadriga in anticipation of possible war damage, and thus Schnitzer was able to rebuild it after the war. Just prior to that, he had designed a memorial for German wrestler, Communist and resistance fighter Werner Seelenbinder. Until 1943 he taught art at the Art and Craft School Reimann in Berlin. Amongst others, he was responsible for the class specializing in ceramics. Probably the exhibited figures were ceramic figures.
