Christopher Campbell was a student at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art and a brother of the sculptor Laurence Campbell. He is best remembered as a figure painter and stained glass artist. He executed a number of innovative and celebrated religious and secular designs for stained glass windows for churches and commissions throughout Ireland. He later taught art at the Kilkenny Technical School (1947-1951). His entry in 1948, Victory of David over Goliath, was an oil painting in the square format 76 x 76 cm.
