Johs Elvestad was a Norwegian band leader and composer. From 1929-44 he conducted the Tretten Music Association in Norway’s Oppland county. During this time, he wrote several marches including The Ice Queen. During the German occupation in World War II, he was active in the resistance. The title of his entry to the 1932 art competitions is unknown.
