Pete Cipollone coxed the US eight to a gold medal at the 2004 Athina Olympics. He also coxed the men’s eight at the 2000 Sydney Olympics when they finished fifth. Cipollone won four gold medals at the World Championships, leading US crews to victory in the eights in 1997-99 and the four in 1995. He won eight medals in all at the Worlds, adding silvers in the 1994 four and the 2003 eight, with a bronze in the 2002 eight.
Cipollone attended U Cal Berkeley. He went into technology consulting, eventually forming his own technology and management consulting firm, Turazo.
