Biography

Christine Collins was a lightweight rower who won a bronze medal in lightweight double sculls alongside Sarah Garner at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Collins was a six-time World medalist in lightweight events, winning golds in the lightweight pair 1995-96, the lightweight four in 1994, and the lightweight double sculls in 1998. She also won a silver medal in the 1999 lightweight double sculls and a bronze medal in the 1991 lightweight four.

Collins attended Trinity College, graduating in 1991, and then earned a law degree from George Washington University. She later became a partner at Bowditch & Dewey, LLP in Worcester, Massachusetts, and Associate Counsel and Senior Associate in the University of Massachusetts Office of the General Counsel and University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Office of Compliance & Review. She then joined the Office of the General Counsel at Boston University.

Collins was elected to the USA Rowing Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Trinity College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020.
