Amanda Adkins

Amanda Adkins was a backstroke swimmer who swam the 200 metre backstroke at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She swam in college at the University of Georgia. Adkins had won the event at the 2000 USA Olympic Trials. Her other international experience included competing at the 1997 Pan Pacs, the 1998 World Championships, and the 1999 World University Games. She was US Champion in the 200 back in 1997. Adkins later married and became known as Amanda Schneider, competing under that name for a few years.
