Biography

Werner Moring from Oberhof in East Germany finished 40th in the 30 km cross-country event and 20th in the 50 km at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. He later became a cross-country skiing coach. Moring was the father of the future cross-country skier and biathlete Kerstin Moring who was married to Jochen Pietzsch.
