Biography

Sepp Mühlbauer competed in his hometown of St. Moritz under a severe handicap, having sustained a serious injury about a month before the Winter Olympics. As a junior he was the winner in his age division at the Swiss Championships in 1920. In 1926, 1927 and 1930, he won the St. Moritz Christmas Competition. Mühlbauer was also an excellent runner and Alpine skier. Nationally, he competed for SC Alpina St. Moritz where he was a close friend of Olympic skier Giovanni Testa.
