Biography

Gustl Müller, or “Starke Gustl,” as he was called, formed the well-known “Bayrischzeller Kleeblatt” with his teammates Fritz Pellkofer and Hans Bauer. In 1922 they founded the Skiclub Bayrischzell and in 1930, the Bayrischzeller Skischule, together with non-Olympian Wastl Bucher. Müller was German Champion with the 4 x 10 km relay of the Bayrischer Skiverband in 1928, 1930 and 1932, and as an individual won the German Nordic combined in 1927, 1929 and 1931, and the 1930 50 km event. At the 1928 St. Moritz Winter Olympics he placed 21st in the nordic combined.
