Biography

Hans, brother of Edi and Sepp Mössmer, was an Austrian ice hockey defender who participated in the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. The team placed tenth and last.

Mössmer was considered as one of the best and most uncompromising defencemen in Austria during the 1950s and 60s. Domestically, he played with Innsbrucker EV and helped them win six national championship titles. After his playing career, Mössmer indulged in his second passion, breeding horses. By occupation, he owned a transport company.
