Biography

A winger, Janez Puterle played for Yugoslavia at the 1972 and 1976 Winter Olympics. He also skated with the Yugoslav team at the 1978 World Championships Group B, retiring after that season. Puterle played for Ljubljana’s Olimpija club for almost 20 years. A Slovenian national, he was inducted into the Slovenian Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007.
