Hendryk Schamberger

German figure skater Hendryk Schamberger partnered Jennifer Goolsbee at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics and finished ninth in the ice dancing event. His parents Martha and Hans-Jürgen Schamberger were also ice dancers.

Schamberger participated at major international championships from 1986-95 with minor success, first with non-Olympian Andrea Weppelmann, and then later with Goolsbee. His best result was a seventh place at the 1994 World Championships with Goolsbee. From 1992-95 the pair also won the German national title. Schamberger had previously won the national title with Weppelmann in 1989.

After his active career, Schamberger studied medicine and became a surgeon in a Berlin hospital. He also became an ice dancing coach at Berlin. In 2006, he partnered actress Liz Baffoe in the RTL television show “Dancing on Ice”.
