Biography

Ron Steele was the US ski jump champion in 1974. He competed that year at the World Championships, placing 40th on the normal hill and 46th on the large hill. Steele won the 1974 Copper Peak ski flying title. He attended the University of Utah and represented Leavenworth Winter Sports Club. In 1977 he was NCAA ski jumping champion, and he made All-American for three years.
