Biography

German snowboarder Heidi Renoth burst onto the scene by winning the slalom at the 1997 World Championships. She then won the silver medal at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics in the giant slalom. At the 2002 Salt Lake City Games she disappointed in the parallel giant slalom, being eliminated early in the competition. In 2003, Renoth added a bronze medal in the parallel giant slalom at the World Championships and then retired at the young age of 25.

At World Cup races Renoth won 5 first, 19 second, and 14 third places. She then trained and graduated as a physiotherapist and ran her own practice at Traunstein.
