| Venues | Helsingin Velodromi, Helsinki |
The program was the same as in 1948, with the kilometre time trial, match sprint, tandem match sprint, and team pursuit, which were held at the Helsinki Velodrome, on a 400 metre concrete track. Unlike many of the events in Helsinki, track cycling did not draw large crowds. Australia and Italy split up the gold medals, each winning two events.
