Biography

Canadian-born ice hockey defender Brad Bergen was a member of the German squad at the 1998 Nagano Olympics that was eliminated in the group stage. In total, he won 47 international caps and scored nine goals. In Germany, he gained two national championships with Düsseldorfer EG in 1996, and Mannheimer Adler in 2001.

At club level, Bergen played in North America with Saskatoon Blades (1984-85) and Prince Albert Raiders (1986-87) before he moved to Germany. He then played with ERC Westfalen Dortmund (1987-88), TSV Königsbrunn (1988-92), EC Ratingen (1992-94), Krefeld Pinguine (1994-95), Düsseldorfer EG (1995-98), Augsburger Panther (1998-2000), Mannheimer Adler (2000-02), Eisbären Berlin (2002-04), and Schwenninger Wild Wings (2004-08).
