Biography

Jenny Wolf was a German world class sprint speed skater at the beginning of the 21st century. She participated in four Winter Olympics from 2002-14 and won the silver medal over 500 metres in 2010 at Vancouver. Wolf set several world records and won medals of each colour at World Championships in the sprint all-around (gold in 2008, silver 2009, and bronze 2010).

At World Singles Championships, Wolf added four gold medals over 500 metres in 2007-09 and 2011. She also won the overall World Cup over 100 metres from 2006-09 and over 500 metres from 2006-11. In 2020, she took over the chief national sprint coaching job for three months, due to misunderstandings with the association leadership. Wolf then took up German studies and business administration studies. She was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award.
