Biography

Bruce Derlin was a New Zealand professional tennis player. Derlin achieved a career-best doubles ranking of 83 in the world in May 1986, and a singles ranking of 115 in the world in December 1984. He also served as the captain of New Zealand’s Davis Cup team for two years.

Derlin’s best success in Grand Slams came at the Australian Open where he reached the third round in the singles and doubles in 1984 and 1989, respectively. He also reached the third round in the doubles at Wimbledon in 1990. Derlin and Kelly Evernden competed in the doubles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics where they reached the second round.
