Biography

Gershon Rorich was a South African volleyball player and cricketer. Rorich played on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour from 1995 to 2008. During this time he and Colin Pocock competed in the beach volleyball tournament at the 2004 Athína Olympics. They became the first team from Africa to take part in the sport at the Olympic Games. After winning two of their three groups matches the pair advanced to the next round of the competition but lost to the Australian duo of Julien Prosser and Mark Williams.
