Buddy Brown competed at the 1976 Olympics, just missing a medal in team jumping when the US team placed fourth. He won three medals at the Pan American Games, with golds in team jumping in 1975-79 and an individual jumping silver in 1975. Brown later became a riding trainer and coach and a jumping course designer. He and his wife, Vanessa Tuss Brown, worked as a team to develop hunting and jumping horses.
