Biography

Paul Convert was lieutenant of the francophone 1st Guides Regiment at the time of the 1912 Olympic Games. There, he placed sixth in the show jumping with the Belgian team but did not finish in eventing. Convert saw action in World War I and later became a major in the reserve. He was appointed Officer of the Order of Leopold and of the Order of the Crown and was awarded the War Cross with Palms and other distinctions. He survived his wife, Marthe Gravez.
