Biography
German three-day event rider Ralf Ehrenbrink won two team medals with the West German team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics (gold) and the re-unified German team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics (bronze). Individually, he was disqualified in 1988 and placed 11th in 1992. In 1996, his German team disappointingly finished ninth.
In 1985, Ehrenbrink added a team bronze medal at the Europeans, and in 1987 the silver medal. In 1994, he also won a team bronze at the Worlds, but he never managed to win a national title. Ehrenbrink later became Chief National Eventing Coach. He was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany`s highest sports award.
