Biography

Manabu Iwahashi was a Cavalry Captain when he participated in the equestrian jumping and eventing competitions of the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He was already selected for the equestrian events at the 1940 Tokyo Olympics that were cancelled due to the outbreak of World War II. During the war Iwahashi was a staff member of the 37th Army in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
