Biography

German show jumper Richard Sahla finished 14th with Correggio in the individual jumping event at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games, and with the German team finished seventh in the team competition. Sahla was at the time of the Games a Senior Lieutenant in the army, stationed at the Cavalry School in Hannover. In 1942, he was killed-in-action, 25 kilometres south of Chudovo in Russia.
