Biography

László Bodrogi is the best cyclist produced by Hungary, although he later settled in France and took French citizenship. He was Hungarian road champion in 1998, 2000, and 2006, and Hungarian time trial champion in 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2006. An excellent time trialist, his best professional performances have come at the World Road Time Trial, where he placed third in 2000 and second in 2007. In 2002 he also won the Grand Prix Eddy Merckx, and was second at the Grand Prix de Nations. He has ridden in the professional peleton since 2001 and has ridden all three grand tours, including the Tour de France in 2002, 2003, and 2005.
