Biography

Track cyclist Ulrich Schillinger failed to reach the quarter-finals in the sprint at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. He claimed more than 120 international wins in different disciplines. Schillinger later founded the cycling club RSG Vilstal. In addition to others, he coached his son Andreas.

In 1985 Schillinger founded Radsport Schillinger, a racing team situated in Amberg in Bavaria, also including a technical consultancy concerning professional cycling. The concept also included a bicycle shop open to everybody.
