Biography

Middle order batsman Alfred Bowerman played one County match as an amateur for Somerset in 1900, and another in 1905. He was, with Montagu Toller, one of the only two members in the 1900 Olympic team who played cricket at county level. Bowerman was a member of the Castle Cary club, and was the top scorer in the Olympic match with 59 runs in the second innings.
