Biography

Siegfried Rossner was a sabre and foil fencer and was a member of both teams at the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games. They were eliminated in the second round of both. In the foil team event he replaced his team-mate Willy Fascher for the second round due to Fascher’s poor performance in the first round. In 1954 Rossner won his only national title in the individual sabre. In 1951 and 1952 he won national team titles with TK Hannover. Rossner owned the hotel “Damköhler” in Bad Pyrmont until his death in 1996.
