A member of the Hammersmith Amateur Wrestling Club, George Sealey won the bantamweight title at the club´s annual championships in 1907 by beating fellow 1908 Olympian John Cox in the final. The following year, Sealey reached the quarter-final of the national bantamweight championship before losing to George Saunders. Sealey was one of 12 Great Britain entrants for the bantamweight division at the 1908 London Olympics but scratched before his first bout.
