Biography

Bülent Eken was a Turkish football defender who competed at the 1948 Olympics and the 1954 FIFA World Cup. He earned 13 caps as a member of the Turkish National team between 1948-54. Eken played with Galatasaray from 1942-50, scoring 56 goals in 140 games. He played with Salernitana from 1950-51, with Palmero in Italy from 1951-52, and then was back with Galatasaray in his final years, 1952-55. While with Galatasary he won an İstanbul League Championship. After his playing career he became a manager, first coaching in Italy, and then managing the Turkish National team in 1962. During his managing career he spent time with Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Göztepe, Altai, İzmirspor, Fidelity, Adanaspor, and Rizespor Orduspor.
