Biography

Renate Schneider, an East German gymnast, finished sixth with the team in the all-around event and 48th in the individual all-around at the 1960 Roma Olympic Games. She did not advance to any of the individual finals. Schneider won her only national title 1956 on the vault. The West German Gymnast Association did not nominate a team for the prequalification against East Germany.
