Biography

West German gymnast Elisabeth Ostermeyer participated at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. She finished fourth in the portable apparatus team event, fifth in the all-around team event, and was 38th in the individual all-around competition. In 1954 she married Professor Dr. Georg Schmidt, who later became head of the institute for law medicine at the University of Heidelberg.
