Biography

Mario Lertora was selected for the first time for the Olympic Games in Paris and won a team gold and was fifth on the parallel bars. He also participated in the 1928 Games at Amsterdam but with limited success, his best results a sixth place with the team and seventh on the parallel bars. In 1932 at Los Angeles he won his second team gold, and added his only individual Olympic medal, in the floor exercise. Earlier in 1931 Lertora won the Italian title. He ended his career in 1936, after failing to be selected for the Berlin Olympics.
