Biography

Aurel Loșniță was active in gymnastics from the 1940s, and earned three top-three results at the 1948 National Championships. He continued to have success in 1951 and 1952, where he placed second and third respectively in parallel bars. He was selected for the Romanian Olympic team in 1952 which ultimately placed 20th at the Helsinki Olympics out of 23 competing nations. Loșniță was a member of the Dinamo București and Astra Arad gymnastics teams.
