Biography

Scott Johnson was on the US national team from 1981-88, competing at two Olympic Games, the 1981 Universiade, while a student at the University of Nebraska, and the 1985 and 1987 World Championships. Johnson’s greatest tournament was the 1987 Pan American Games, where he won eight medals and four golds, including the all-around. He was a three-time US champion, winning the all-around and rings in 1987 and the vault in 1985. While at Nebraska, he was named an All-American 11 times.

Johnson later worked in management positions with McDonalds, Anheuser-Busch, Sea World, and Busch Gardens in Tampa. He also did motivational speaking and owned and ran Scott Johnson Gold Gymnastics in Florida.
