Biography

Goalkeeper Astrid Hühn was on the West German handball squad that finished fourth in the round-robin tournament at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Domestically, she played with TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and a final season with TV Gießen-Lützellinden.

Hühn won six German Championships and six DHB Cups with Leverkusen, and in her last year, 1993, the European Cup Winners’ Cup and her seventh German Championship. In 1986, 1989 and 1990 she was voted Handball Player of the Year.
