Biography

Modern pentathlete Walter Esser finished 20th and 14th at the 1972 München and 1976 Montréal Olympics, respectively. He also placed sixth and 11th with the team. He won the West German titles in 1969 and 1976, while in 1971 he earned the silver medal, and in 1969 the bronze medal.
