German rower Wilhelm Reichert was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the eights at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. His boat from Mannheimer RV Amicitia won the German national title from 1928-31. Reichert also won German titles with the coxless fours in 1929 and 1930, and was runner-up in 1920.
