Biography

Michael Hess rowed for the University of Washington, graduating in 1978. He helped the Huskies win the Western Sprints in 1974 and 1975, and win the 1975 Canadian Nationals. Hess won two gold medals in the eights at the Pan American Games, in 1975 and 1979. He competed at the 1977 World Championships in the eights, which finished sixth. Hess later worked in commercial real estate for First Western Development.
