Biography

Elemér Bömches came from a prominent Saxon Transylvanian family, and was an influential figure of the Saxon community in Brassó. He was a member of the ”Siebenbürgischer Karpaten Verein (SKV)” tourist association. Bömches practised various sports, and in 1909 finished third at a local ski championship. As a sports shooter, he participated in the 1912 Summer Olympics, taking part in three indvidual events, and as a member of the Hungarian military rifle team, finished in 10th place.
