Javier Cáceres was a Peruvian sports shooter who competed during the 1960s. A specialist in the small-bore rifle, Cáceres won bronze in the three positions team event at the 1963 Pan American Games in São Paulo. The following year he competed in the 50 metres prone event at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, finishing 68th out of the 73 athletes who participated. His brother Óscar was also a noted rifle shooter who competed at three Olympic Games.
