Biography

Carl Dybeck studied in Gävle from 1897 and attended the Forest Institute from 1901-03. In 1905 he became county forester in Kopparberg where he improved various forest cultivation methods. In 1920 he became a member Forestry Board’s forest legislation committee and of several committees concerned with hunting issues. Dybeck was engaged in organizing a forest fire insurance and published books on forestry and hunting, including Kort handledning vid folkskolebarns undervisning i skogssådd, skogsplantering och nursery management (Brief guidance in primary school children’s teaching of forest seeding, forest planting and nursery management) in 1912. He married Karin Sundahl in 1910.

Dybeck competed for the Falu Shooting Guild in the 1912 Olympics in the running target, double shot event.
