Biography

Ruby Fox won three gold medals at the Pan American Games, two in team pistol events at the 1983 Games, and an individual sport pistol gold at the 1987 Pan Ams. She was World Champion in air pistol in 1979. At the 1985 Champions of the Americas event, she won a silver in sport pistol and a bronze in air pistol. Fox won 19 women’s pistol championships, 7 in air pistol and 10 with sport pistol.

Fox served over 28 years in the US Army Reserves, retiring in 2003. She was the only woman on the elite US Army Reserve Pistol Team. She also was a coach for the Thailand Shooting Federation, served on the advisory board of the Director of Civilian Marksmanship, and was a member of the Pistol and International Committees of the NRA (National Rifle Association).
