Biography

Percy Oliver had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1938 British Empire Games 110 yards Backstroke, 3rd in the 1938 British Empire Games 3×110 yards Medley Relay (with the non-Olympians Ernest Hobbs and Bill Fleming). He also competed in the 1938 British Empire Games 110 yards Freestyle. He won 13 Australian titles in freestyle and backstroke. After his swimming career ended, he became a teacher and then a school administrator.
