Biography

As a student at Holloway Secondary school, Reggie Knight won the ADA schools title in 1919. That same year he won the first of seven England High Fancy Diving titles (1919-24, 1928). He also held the Amateur Diving Association (ADA) title between 1920-25. Knight later went to Imperial College London, and became a research chemist. His research work subsequently took him from London to the Scottish border town of Jedburgh, where he became president of the Jedburgh Swimming club.

Apart from appearing in two Olympics, when he reached the platform diving final in both 1924 and 1928, finishing seventh and eighth respectively, the highlight of his career was in finishing third in the platform at the 1926 European Championships in Budapest.
