Biography

Roswitha Beier was an East German female swimmer who won two silver medals at the 1972 München Olympics, in the 100 m butterfly and the 4x100 medley relay. One year later she added another silver in the 200 m butterfly at the Belgrade World Championships. In 1973, she claimed her only East German title in the 100 m butterfly. Beier later studied Chinese sciences and worked with the Deutsche Außenhandelsbank AG.
