Biography

Sigrid Goral was a long distance freestyler and competed at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. She was eliminated in the heats of the 800 metres. In 1968 she won the East German national championships in the 800 freestyle and set a European record. Later Goral became a professional group leader in a sheltered workshop. She and her husband Jürgen Pastor undertook several long-distance bicycle tours worldwide.
